A. C. Shanmughadas (1939 – June 27, 2013) was an Indian politician.
Born to Kunhiraman and Sarada Shanmughadas in 1939, Shanmughadas had participated in the Goa liberation movement. He was an active member of the student's wing of the Congress. He was the DCC secretary in Malappuram and Kozhikode.
Shanmughadas joined the faction led by Devraj Urs, and later became a leader of the Congress (S). He represented the Balussery constituency in the state assembly four times. He was the minister three times -1980 to 1981, 1987 to 1991, 1996 to 2000. He was the health minister in the E K Nayanar cabinet. He was the working committee member of the NCP.
He stayed with the LDF when a faction led by K Muraleedharan left the front after a brief stint.
On June 27, 2013, Shanmughadas died of a cardiac arrest at the age of 74. Shanmughadas is survived by wife K Parukutty and two daughters.
