Aerograd (literally Air City) is a 1935 Soviet feature length film set in a town called Aerograd, a new frontier settlment in the far east where an Airfield features promenently. The film is an adventure drama detailing the tension between the town, a religious sect, and a band of wandering Samuri. Tension that mirrors those rising between the Empire of Japan and the Soviet Union with the film climaxing with the outbreak of the (then as of yet to happen) 2nd World War with Soviet Airplanes paving the way to victory over the Japanese.
