Alexander Gould

Alexander Gould (born May 4, 1994) is an American television actor and voice artist. Gould is best known for his role as the titular young clownfishcharacter in the 2003 animated Disney and Pixar film "Finding Nemo".

Life and career

Gould, the eldest of three siblings, was born in Los Angeles, California to Tom and Valerie Gould. Raised Jewish, he is active in the Conservative Jewish youth group USY and is currently participating in the Gap year program, Nativ. Gould has two younger sisters, Emma and Kelly, who are also actors.

Gould made his acting debut at the age of six and became well known for voicing the title character of Disney/Pixar's Finding Nemo. On television, Gould plays the role of Shane Botwin on the Showtime dramedy series Weeds, as well as guest-starring on such series as Ally McBealMalcolm in the Middle,Law & Order: Special Victims UnitSupernatural, and Pushing Daisies. He starred as David Collins in the WB remake of the soap opera Dark Shadows, but its pilot episode was rejected by the WB Television Network and never aired.
