Andrew Johnson (b. December 29, 1808 – d. July 31, 1875) was the 17th President of the United States, and 15th Governor of Tennessee. He served from 1865 until 1869. He was the first of only two presidents to be impeached by Congress. His impeachment came after clashes with the Republican dominated congress.
