Captain Proton is a metafictional character appearing in the Star Trek Franchise. While originating in Star Trek: Voyager the character has appeared in non-canon works relating to Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: Enterprise, and Star Trek: Deep Space 9. Captain Proton is in the prime continuity of Star Trek a character created by Tom Paris aboard the USS Voyager for a holo-novel series he created to explore the themes of 1930s, 40s, and 50s Science Fiction. In non-Canon works Captain Proton was a 1930s Pulp-Fiction protagonist whose stories where published with those of Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers.
