Growing up creepie Caroleena the tell-tale poem

Caroleena, a Madagascar Mantis [1] is Creepella "Creepie" Creecher's adoptive mother in the animated TV show "Growing Up Creepie". She's married to the mosquito Vincent Creecher who is Creepie's adoptive father.

Biography[]

Background[]

Caroleena didn't originally inhabit the Creecher House. The first time she met Vincent Creecher was at a masquarade ball where she dressed up as a Tarantula and he a Juniper Beetle. They danced, he began to feel love, and caught in this web of love Caroleena tried to devour him. [2] Caroleena eventually stopped trying though as parents Caroleena and Vincent are reluctant to talk about their dating life with Creepie and thus viewers of the show have little insight into how the two came to be as they presently are. Some time after settling into the Creecher House the two adopted Polly as a son. [3] While it's not dwelled upon in the show, it's mentioned that she's on a "no friends or family diet" [4] and such seems to have been one of the changes Vincent inspired in her. All that can be inferred is that she was not always as self restrained as she is presently.

Growing Up Creepie[]

Creepie Crawling[]

One dreary night Caroleena opened the doors of the Creecher House with Vincent at her side. Vincent drew her attention to the sight before them, a basket in which was a baby. The sight of which was adorable to Caroleena who climbed onto the basket for a better look. Polly asked Caroleena if they could keep it. Vincent meanwhile noticed a note that asked them to take care of the child but was left unsigned. Caroleena expressed how perfect the child was and Vincent cautioned her that they've never taken care of an infant so big before but guessed they could manage. With the aid of the other insects the two brought the child into their home. Seeing the child roll out of the basket and crawl Vincent commented on how she's a creepie crawler and Caroleena decided to name the child Creepie.

The family organized efforts such as the harvesting of vegetables and fruits to crush for the child to eat. With the other insects of the house Caroleena took care of Creepie and looked out for her safety. But, eventually Creepie began to wonder why she didn't have wings nor molt like the insects around her. Still, Caroleena didn't tell Creepie she was different for a long while. One day watching Creepie look out side, watching other Human children play she and Vincent became concerned. They realized that one day she'd want to go out and spend time with her own species and choose it was best to educate her on what they knew about Humans in order to prepare her.

The community taught her Math and geography while she exhausted the house's library. Eventually they taught her all they knew and all the books could in the house. Caroleena and Vincent knew it was time to enroll her in school where she'd finally leave the home for the first time to be among her own. What education she had received ended up being enough for her to be placed in Middle School and on that first day both Caroleena and Vincent accompanied her. Caroleena even at the school asked Creepie if she had everything she needed for class. Creepie walks to the principles office, and is asked if she's come alone on her first day of school. She says her parents have come with her and points to her shoulder but the principle doesn't see Caroleena nor Vincent and assumes that Creepie's saying she keeps them close to her heart. The two left her side at that point, with the principle taking her to her first class.
