This is a category for fictional characters (made up people or people like entities) who are sexually drawn to members of the same biological sex with exclusion of attraction towards members of the opposite biological sex. Terms such as Gay and Lesbian have applied.
Transsexuals may differ in that while they may be the same biological sex as their partner a Transsexual may be transitioning into the opposite sex rather then remaining the same. In such cases they would be placed in this category. However if their partner is either of the biological sex they are transitioning into or changing into the same sex; resulting in two people of the same sex- such characters would be homosexual characters.
For a character to fall into this category the character must not have engaged narratively in a romance nor consensual sexual act with a character of a biological sex that differs from their own.
