Transsexual characters are transitioning or have transitioned from one physical sex to another.
Transsexual characters should not be confused with Transfeminine nor Transmasculine characters though all three are under the broad umbrella of 'trans'. Transfeminine and Transmasculine characters fall under Transgenderism rather than Transsexuality (see Transgender characters) as while they identify with pronouns that do not conform with those traditionally assigned to their physical sex (biological female identifying as male for example) they do not wish to change their sex to match that traditionally assigned to their chosen identity.
