Frogenstein is the second segment of the second episode of the animated TV show 'Growing Up Creepie'. It's proceeded by the segment 'The Scared Twitch Project' with both being aired on the sixteenth day of September in the year 2006.

Plot[]

In Professor Papus's class the students have been tasked with frog dissection. Budge and Chris Alice with some brief pause get started dutifully while Creepie is reluctant. She asks Professor Papus is there is some other way to learn Frog anatomy to which her teacher asks that she keep with the program. Fudge tells Creepie that she has to soak the frog in preservatives first or the task will be messy. Still not started the still twitching frog ribbits and the teacher asks if Creepie needs some assistance to which she assures him that she does not. The teacher however realizes that Creepie does indeed need some help getting started, pointing out that unless it's speaking from beyond the grave it's very much still alive but his approach is interrupted by Creepie's friend Budge.

This interruption buys Creepie time in which she releases the now awoken frog through an open class window. The teacher how ever notices and as class leaves with the bell tells Creepie that if that frog isn't back in the class room by tomorrow she'll get an F on the assignment. Fudge learns of this and tells Creepie that sound harsh and states that it's unlikely they'll find the frog. The frog however hasn't hopped away from the wall and the two find it. Creepie tells fudge she isn't going to be responsible for killing some defenseless creature and thus isn't taking the frog back to class. Reaching down to get the frog she causes it to hop away into the school road where it gets hit by a school bus. Fudge comments that it seems the frog was a goner either way to which Creepie says, "Who says he's a goner, I've got an idea."

Caroleena, Creepie's adoptive mother goes off on a health walk for an hour and while she's away Budge and Creepie go into her home. Budge is Creepie's only friend who knows about her family of insects though the "mad sciency" lab is a bit much. Creepie tells Fudge that they can rebuild him to which Fudge tells her that the frog is dead. Regardless Creepie does her thing and Budge stays to help and while at first the revival seems a failure it proves a success. Though the moment is dulled when the revived frog tries to devour Matt who escapes through it's nostril before the creature flees the lab.

Meanwhile Caroleena is continuing her health walk, now in the dark of night, while struggling to keep her hunger under control. Creepie and Fudge pursue the Frog creature into town where it become apparent that what ever Creepie did has caused the revived frog to short circuit electrical devices after it causes an accident on the road. Caroleena nearly feeds but manages to pull through on her walk but pushes into a bit of a jog to get out of town. Meanwhile Creepie and Fudge pursue the Frog through the Circus Grande Carnival which the creature shuts down with outages. The creature then does the same to a drive in theater that was featuring 'Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters'.

Eventually the whole town except for Creepie's home is without power and Caroleena returns to the home's gate. There she encounters the Frog and now starving perceives it as prey. In an unseen battle Caroleena arises the victor, but not wanting any of her family to know about her hunger issue she hides the body. Creepie and Fudge arrive home and ask if she's seen a frog come by to which she lies about having seen such. Inside the house Creepie and Budge talk about what they can do to avoid her getting an F. Together the two create a doll resembling a frog and the Professor let's her pass though tells her to use less staples next time.

Bug Bites[]

Creepie ends the segment with another educational segment. This time she talks about how fast a frog's tongue is and how a frog uses it's eyes to swallow prey whole- the eyes pushing the food down. It's one of the few episodes where the fact doesn't involve a bug.

Production[]

The episode was written by Carin Greenberg with storyboard by Todd Waterman.
