Dr. Gay Rudolph Hitler (January 13, 1882 – October 27, 1948) was an American dentist who practiced in Circleville, Ohio.

Gay Rudolph Hitler was born on January 13, 1882 in Pickaway County, Ohio to George Washington Hitler and Ida May Lutz[1]. He was raised in a rural environment as part of an established German-American family. Once completing school at the University of Cincinnati, he went into the world of dentistry. [2]
Career[]
Dr. Gay Hitler's dentistry career consisted of giving his patients routine care. He was known as a kind and caring dentist by his community. In his later years, his life was pretty straightforward, consisting of marrying Mable Long and going on to have four kids who all carried his last name.[1] He died on October 27, 1948 in Worthington, Ohio after battling a long illness.

Although Gay Hitler's life was normal and uninteresting, he still managed to garner attention on social media due to his unusual name, with one post about him on Reddit garnering 3.2 thousand upvotes. [3] Many found his name to be humorous due to his first name now being associated with homosexuals and his surname being associated with Adolf Hitler, although the name was completely normal when he was still alive.
