GTA 6

Sernado's video on GTA 6, holding an alleged copy of "Grand Theft Auto 6."

Gran Theft Auto VI is a hoax created and spread in the Grand Theft Auto V Community. The hoax goes back to YouTuber LispyJimmy, who was criticized by some, mostly notably NFKRZ. For fake giveaways, heavy clickbaiting and for using a graphics mod in Grand Theft Auto 5 to make it look like a different game.

History[]

The Grand Theft Auto 6 scam started back with LispyJimmy and other GTA YouTubers. It started after the lack of topics to make videos on and the decline in popularity of Grand Theft Auto YouTubers. The trend was popularized by LispyJimmy, who was criticized by many such as WildSpartanz and NFRKZ for his clickbait, fake giveaways and his habit begging for likes. [1] GTA6 eventually became popularized in the community and often compared to other forms of GTA5 clickbait such as "How to stop the Train in GTA5."

Overview[]

Most videos showing "gameplay" Grand Theft Auto 6 tend to be graphics mods of Grand Theft Auto 5. In Sernandoe's video on "Grand Theft Auto 6", he showed a copy he alleged got from Rockstar Games. In a version of the video, the back of the cover was recycled from the Xbox 360 version of Grand Theft Auto IV.[2] In a later version, it was changed to a different backing. Rockstar has no official response to the Grand Theft Auto 6 phenomenon.
