Trivia[]

  • At the beginning Mr. Krabs says "growth spout" but at the end when he is talking to SpongeBob he says "growth spurt", like it should be said.
  • We learn that Mr. Krabs has a gold tooth.
  • The title card of this episode is the only one with whales in the background.
  • This is the fourth time that Pearl wasn't embarrassed by or didn't get angry at Mr. Krabs. The first was Culture Shock. The second Bossy Boots, and the third is Tentacle Vision, but loosely.
  • The title is a play on the phrase growth spurt and the word (anatomy) spout.
  • This is the second time a worm spits on Mr. Krabs. The first time was in Pet or Pests.
  • In Mrs. Puff's room, you can see a picture of a brown-haired pufferfish, which could be Mr. Puff.
  • 56th episode with its name in it.
  • This title card music is the same or sounds similar to Imitation Krabs.
  • This is the fourth time Squidward's house came to life, first time in being was in The Secret Box, the second time was in Funny Pants, the third being Good Neighbors, and the fith will be A Friendly Game.
  • Pearl actually hated eating Krabby Patties, but this time she loved it (It is noticable in episode Bossy Boots). Also, in Whale of a Birthday, Pearl said that Krabby Patties are gross. However, in this epsiode, she willingly eats one. This may just be because she wants food so badly.
  • The song that Mr. Krabs sings is similar to My Body Lies Over the Ocean and it played on Sleepy Time.
  • This episode had a rerun with Gullible Pants.
  • It is unknown how Squidward knew that Mr. Krabs stole all of his food.
  • This is the second episode where the focus is mainly on Mr. Krabs. The first was Selling Out.
