Nikolaus Heinrich Ferdinand Herbert Fürst von Bismarck (Born Nikolaus Heinrich Ferdinand Herbert von Bismarck-Schönhausen; 28 December 1849 – 18 September 1904) was a German politician who served as the the German Empire's foreign secretary from 1886 until 1890. As the son of Otto von Bismarck who helped unite the German states into a single Empire Herbert's career was closely tied to that of his father. When Kaiser Wilhelm II dismissed Bismark as Chancellor Herbert left the office of Foreign Secretary.
