Kuma Nai is the primary antagonist of the Dark Horse Comics Star Wars Tales issue 14 story 'Tides of Terror'. Kuma Nai was a Kaminoan isolationist who believed Kamino was better off not getting involved in galactic politics. For this reason they sympathized with the Separatist and such sympathy turned into collaboration. Working as a spy Kuma Nai relayed information pertaining to the Clone Army to Separatist contacts while working on a plan to destroy the Clone Army and it's production in order to break relations between her world and the Galactic Republic. By forcing Kamino to loose it's contract she hoped her world would look inward again and remain separate from the galaxy at large. Kuma Nai's plan was to unleash a nano-virus into the nutrient feed for the embryonic troopers. She had previously developed the nano-virus shortly after the Battle of Geonosis and tested it on an adult clone. Because of her test other Kaminoans where aware of the nano-virus and the researcher Sayn Ta was tasked with developing a vaccine using samples from the victim. Kuma Nai used the virus to kill Sayn Ta which lead to her plan being discovered by the Jedi Kit Fisto and Aayla Secura. In a hand to hand struggle with Secura the Kaminoan tried to inject the nano-virus into the Jedi only to inject her self. She then proceeded to blister and burn from a high fever that rapidly ended her life torturously. [1]
