Marie-Thérèse Bardet (b. June 2, 1898 – d. June 8, 2012) was a French supercentenarian. She was the oldest person in
Europe, and the 6th oldest verified person in the world, at the time of her death in 2012.
Bardet was born in Lorient, Brittany, to single mother who gave up her daughter to French authorities.
Bardet died at a retirement home in Pontchateau, Loire-Atlantique, France, on 8 June 2012, just 6 days after celebrating her 114th birthday. She was survived by her two children, who were ages 90 and 88 years old, respectively, in 2012; 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
