Brief Summary[]
After a few attacks upon loggers by giant Brazilian Chocoradas, who are really a species of sentient insects, a family of these beings moves to the USA with a mission (motivated in part from a misunderstanding of the danger of nuclear power) to set off a nuclear explosion that will ride the world of Humanity with Dick, the head of these family having gotten a job at the town's power plant. At first the operatives find themselves living the American Dream but hardships and cultural influences leads to a dire state involving extramarital affairs, interspecies teen pregnancy from non-consenting sex, and a son with a cannabis addiction. Being helped through these troubles emotionally by the town folk causes them to reconsider their plans. When Aunt Bae from Brazil comes and horrified at the state the family is living in decides to do the task of setting off the explosion herself Dick intervenes to save the Humans the family has grown close to and in the struggle seems to kill Aunt Bae. The family leaves America and returns to Brazil to pursue peaceful relations with Humans and encourage such among their kind. There they are visited as their true selves by the Humans they had befriended in America- though said Humans have lost their hair due the incident at the power plant.
