Template:Infobox Misawo Okawa (March 5, 1898 - April 1, 2015) was a Japanese supercentenarian who was living at the age 116 years was the oldest living person in the world, the oldest living woman in the world, and the 3rd oldest Japanese person ever.
Okawa was born on March 5, 1898, in the Tenma district (present-day Kita-ku) of Osaka, and now lives at a nursing home in Higashisumiyoshi-ku, Osaka. She married in 1919 to her husband Yukio, and had three children, two daughters and a son, of whom, as of February 2013, her son and 1 daughter are still alive, both over the age of 90. She has 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
On February 27, 2013, Misao Okawa was officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the oldest living woman in the world, and was presented with a certificate at her nursing home in Osaka.
