Olivia Patricia Thomas (b. June 29, 1895 – d. November 16, 2009) was, at age 114, the world's third oldest verified living person, following the death of Gertrude Baines on September 11, 2009. Thomas was the second oldest American (and the oldest born in the United States, as Mary Josephine Ray was born in Canada). She moved to Buffalo, New York, in 1946 and went on to become the oldest living person in the state of New York.
On October 25, 2009, Thomas became the oldest person born in Iowa, surpassing the 114 years, 117 lifespan of Emma Verona Johnston in 2004. On December 22, 2009, Neva Morris aged 114 years, 141 days surpassed Thomas as the oldest verified Iowan ever.
