R2-VO

R2-VO (Artoo-veeoh) is a robot character introduced to the Star Wars franchise by West End Games for it's d6 Star Wars roleplaying game. The character of R2-VO is an R2 unit serving aboard the rebel starship, a modified Lantillian Short Hauler named 'The Long Shot', in a roleplaying campaign named for the ship. The rebels owning R2-VO are known as Reekeene's Roughnecks after their founder, the Alliance general Lens Reekeene. R2-VO has been disassembled and rebuilt fifty-two times by the time the campaign starts- all with one purpose- to fix a quirk. R2-VO to the crew of The Long Shot seems to beep, whistle, and hum an endless stream of nonsense while performing tasks around the ship much to the crew's annoyance. The truth though is that R2-VO is a droid poet and the crew has simply been unable to or are incapable of appreciating R2-VO's art.
