Space Ghost is the titicular superhero of Hanna-Barbara's Space Ghost segments which initially appeared as part of the Space Ghost and Dino-Boy program. Space Ghost was created by Alex Toth in the 1960s for Hanna-Barbara Studios with the aid of the co-owners of that studio. Space Ghost works against the aims of spacefaring villains such as Zokar among others. He's aided by his wards Jan and Jace with some assistance from Blip, a Monkey. He travels between planets with his ship the Phantom Cruiser.
Space Ghost (Original Segments)[]
In the original segments (which where part of the Space Ghost and Dino-Boy show) Space Ghost is given no background. Audiences where first introduced to him, his wards, and Blip in 'The Heat Thing' where in Jace's shuttle crashes on an alien world. Concerned that Jace hasn't come home yet Space Ghost, Jan, and Blip go out to search for him and find that his shuttle has been wrecked by a magma monster. Space Ghost uses his power bands to seal the creature in an active volcano before reuniting Jace with Jan. The next episode 'Zokar' introduces Zokar- a mantis like alien Zokarian whose broken out of prison by his compatriots and seeks revenge on Space Ghost for incarcerating him. -you can help the wiki by expanding this article-
