Steve Earle Buyer (November 26, 1958) is a former US Represenative from Indiana who who currently holds the rank of Colonel in the US Army. In 2012 he began promoting smokeless tobacco, pressing that it's the smoke that kills, not nicitine. He stated; "You realize that if you where to take that lettuce, dry it, roll it, and smoke it. If you smoke your lettuce your gonna end up with similiar problems then if you where smoking tobacco." Steve Buyer is now a lobbyist for the McKesson Corporation.
