Uranus is the seventh planet from the Sun. Its mysterious color comes from the presence of gases in the atmosphere. The strange orbit it contains led to the discovery of Neptune. The chemical composition of Uranus differs from larger gas giants, and thus occasionally lands it in a separate category known as 'ice giants'.
