The Xbox One is a gaming console from Microsoft. It is the successor of the Xbox 360 and was
announced on May 21, 2013. It is the third console in the Xbox family (the previous 2 were Xbox 360 and Xbox). It will compete Nintendo's Wii U and Sony's PlayStation 4. It will be released in November 2013 in North America, November-December 2013 in Europe and 2014 in Japan. It will also not be backwards compatible with the Xbox or Xbox 360. some software has been added to the console that allows it to play Xbox 360 games.

Xbox SmartGlass[]
Xbox SmartGlass will provide extended functionality on the Xbox One, allowing Windows Phone smartphones, Windows RT, and Windows 8 tablets to be used as a second screen.
Recording and Streaming[]
Xbox Live Gold subscribers will be able to use the Upload Studio app to edit and share clips from the last five minutes of gameplay footage that is automatically recorded by the console.
Voice Control[]
It will be similar to the previous, but will be more albeit richer then the one in the 1st generation of Kinect.
Controller[]
The controller is similar to the Xbox 360 one,and has the same overall layout. The directional pad has been changed to four way design, and the battery compartment's slimmer. Each trigger will also feature independent rumble motors called "Impulse Triggers", which allows developers to program directional vibration. The pre-ordered controllers have "Day One 2013" engraved.
